Feeling nervous or anxious about the Life in the UK Test is completely normal. For many people, it’s not the questions themselves that cause difficulty, but stress, pressure, and fear of getting things wrong on the day.

In the full Life in the UK course, this lesson focuses on helping you feel calmer, more focused, and more confident before and during your test.

You’ll be introduced to simple, practical techniques designed to reduce anxiety and steady your breathing and heart rate. These techniques are explained clearly and demonstrated in video lessons, so you can practise them in your own time and use them discreetly whenever you need to.

The full lesson includes:

  • A calming physical technique to help settle nerves and reduce stress
  • A confidence-building method to help you reconnect with a calm, positive mindset
  • Guidance on when and how to practise these techniques in the days leading up to your test

These techniques don’t require special equipment and can be used anywhere, including at the test centre itself.

This section is included as part of the complete Life in the UK course and is designed to support you emotionally as well as academically, helping you approach the test feeling steadier and more in control.
